This (sometimes) dashing, (still) young and (often) daring photographer has imposed himself in the extremely competitive, daunting and glamourous world of fashion photography. From highly cultured beginnings in his native Montréal, Canada where he graduated in Photography from the Collège d'études générales et professionnelles du Vieux-Montréal to the present, Yanick has not stopped striving, imagining and creating. Be it as a press photographer or a budding talent shooting local models, he rapidly found his calling and embraced fashion quite naturally. Yanick was acutely aware from the outset that contemporary life had become global and that he couldn't remain ensconced in his familiar world. At the age of 16, this young artist started his apprenticeship of the world which would lead him to such places as Spain (Aranda de Duero), France (with several subsequent and prolonged stays in Paris), Western Canada (Vancouver), the United States (Miami and especially New York, a hub where he is often invited to visit on professional grounds), the Dominican Republic, Cuba and, most recently, Mexico. Yanick's work has been reviewed and commented by the national and international media, both written and spoken. He has been featured in a multi-page article of Imaging News, a Kodak professional publication, and highly praised on the very popular French Canadian TV show « Deux filles le matin ». He also enjoys extensive coverage on Internet, with thousands of websites mentioning his output. Many prestigious fashion magazines have commissioned his shots of international models and top celebrities, including Time Out New York, Vital, Max, German Amica, Ocean Drive, The National Post, Clin d'Oeil, Mariage Québec, Instinct, Razor, Overture.
